Fun Creative Shots

2021 The Venue, Rigby Idaho and BYU Idaho

One of my favorite types of photography that I’ve learned is Scanography. Some of my other Scanography work is shown in my Advanced Photography blog post. If you haven’t seen that blog post yet, Scanography is photography using a scanner to capture an image. I used a piece of glass to put my objects on so I wouldn’t damage the scanner. It is super easy and fun because you can get pretty creative with your objects and arrange them in different ways. The last photo in this blog is a composite I did using Photoshop. I overlayed the images and played with the opacity settings so it looks like she is dancing like a ghost.

I hope you enjoy!

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
