Photoshop Magic

2021 Teton National Park, BYU-Idaho, Buffalo River

Photoshop is a great tool, but is most beneficial when you learn how the tools work. It is more of a platform for a creative outlet with photography. With a few photos, blending modes, and time, Photoshop can help you make some amazing photos like the ones below. The photos I’ve included in this post are from my Fall semester at BYU-Idaho, and the smaller photos displayed are from websites that offer free downloads of different textures and backgrounds.

The pictures below are displayed in the order:

Original portrait/subject photo

Texture/Background

The post production composite of the 2 combined.

These were a lot of fun to create and I’ve learned a lot about Photoshop while making them.

I hope you enjoy!

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
— Elliott Erwitt
